Here is an example template of a Pre-Start Check
What are pre-start checks? Pre-start Checks are a checklist to see if all machinery and equipment is working before you start using them.
Why do we do them ?
• To prevent equipment damage.
• To prevent injury to personnel.
Prevention of Equipment Damage :
It is necessary to check if all equipment is working and/or Serviced regularly to ensure it last a long time and is always ready to be used by the worker.
Prevention of Injury to workers :
If all Equipment is serviced regularly it is unlikely that it can cause a injury to happen to a worker however if chairs/tables aren’t adjusted/checked they can result in things like back pain and muscle pain for workers.
