This procedure is to be read in conjunction with WHS The Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 In service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment provides guidance on inspection, testing and tagging methods.

This procedure does not apply to:
• Electrical equipment at a height of 2.5m or greater above the ground, floor or platform.

The frequency of inspection and testing will vary depending on the nature of the workplace and the risks associated with the electrical
equipment.
A record of testing must be kept until the electrical equipment is next tested, permanently removed from the workplace or disposed of. A record of testing must specify:
